The Director General for Inspection and Surveillance of South Sudan’s Drug and Food Control Authority on 01 September ordered the immediate recall of medicines sold as Duphaston and Navidoxine.
The cites medicine-quality and patient-safety concerns. DFCA identified concerns involving Duphaston during the previous week, although the recall applies to both Duphaston and Navidoxine.
Any pharmaceutical wholesalers, retailers and health facilities have been advised to immediately collect any quantities of the two medical products and contact inspectors at DFCA.
